Africa Crop Forum 2026
From Ideas to Impact: Co-Creating Climate Resilient Crop Systems 12-14 October 2026, Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. A collaborative academic partnership event organised by WAVE RESEARCH, the Crop Science Centre, and the Cambridge Africa Climate Collaborative Research Fund.
The Africa Crop Forum began in Cambridge in 2025, bringing together African and international researchers, breeders, funders and farmers around a shared challenge: building crop resilience in a changing climate. What emerged was more than a meeting. New connections, collaborations and ideas revealed a clear appetite for something bigger and longer-term.
In 2026, that momentum moves to Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. The Forum places African priorities, from cassava viruses to climate resilience, at the centre of the conversation and strengthens the connections needed to turn knowledge into action. When the Forum returns to Cambridge in 2027, it will demonstrate what sustained partnerships across Africa and the wider world can achieve for smallholder farmers facing a changing climate.
