The Minister described the meeting as both vital and strategic, emphasizing the urgent need to combat emerging and existing plant diseases that threaten agricultural productivity and food systems across the country.
Sen. Abdullahi stated that the Ministry is committed to working closely with WAVE and other relevant stakeholders to revalidate critical policy documents and mainstream them into international frameworks of governance for effective implementation.
During the meeting, Professor ENI reaffirmed the availability of the three WAVE laboratories in Nigeria to support all plant health activities in the country.
