The identity of WAVE RESEARCH, officially unveiled during the Plant Health Regional Convening 2026 in Abuja, Nigeria, marks a renewed commitment to strengthening regional collaboration, advancing scientific excellence and supporting countries in protecting the crops that sustain millions of livelihoods across Africa.
As WAVE RESEARCH begins this new journey, it carries forward the legacy of the WAVE Regional Center of Excellence while embracing an expanded vision—one that places research, capacity bulding and partnership at the heart of resilient plant health systems for Africa.
